Broiler parent stock (PS) chickens are a type of chicken that is raised to produce broiler final stock (FS) hatching eggs. Disease attacks in broiler parent stock (PS) chicken maintenance can cause a decrease in hatching egg productivity in producing high-quality FS day old chicks (DOC). This study aims to provide information and analyze preventive programs given to PS chickens in the grower phase as a form of implementing the role of paramedics in maintaining PS chickens. This study used observation and evaluation methods on preventive programs given to 6000 chickens with 600 males and 5400 females (ratio 1:10). Primary data collection was obtained during and after the preventive program was given in the form of vaccination programs, multivitamins and grading programs. The success of the vaccination program showed that this preventive program succeeded in suppressing mortality and morbidity rates below the normal threshold (=5%). This value shows that high vaccination and health management programs can produce high-quality DOC eggs and chicks. |
