| Abstract: | Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis respon termoregulasi sapi perah laktasi pada kandang closed house (CH) dan open house (OH) tie stall. This study aimed to analyze the thermoregulatory responses of lactating dairy cattle in two system: closed house (CH) and open house (OH) tie stall systems. This study involved in a total of ten Friesian Holstein (FH) cows, lactation 2-4 in the lactation period. The observed variables included the microclimate (temperature, humidity, wind speed, and Temperature Humidity Index(THI)) and thermoregulatory responses (heart rate, rectal, temperature, respiration rate, and body surface temperature). Data were analyzed descriptively followed by independent T-test, ANOVA, and correlation Spearman. The result of the microclimate at day time differed significanly between CH and OH (P<0,05) with CH exhibiting lower temperature and THI, as well higher humidity and wind speed than OH. Thermoregulatory responses was differed significantly (P<0,05) with cows in CH showing lower respiration rate compared to OH. To conclude, the type of housing system can significantly affect the microclimate, thermoregulatory responses in dairy cattle lactation. |
