Abstract: PT XYZ merupakan perusahaan manufaktur pengolahan susu yang memproduksi susu kental manis dengan kebutuhan bahan baku yang berfluktuasi salah satunya adalah gula. Perusahaan dihadapkan pada terjadinya kelebihan penawaran produk SKM akibat persaingan pasar yang kompetitif sehingga perhitungan kebutuhan dan titik pemesanan kembali bahan baku gula kurang optimal. Evaluasi pengelolaan persediaan menggunakan metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) dapat dijadikan model penyelesaian masalah persediaan untuk mengetahui jumlah pemesanan ekonomis, safety stock, reorder point, dan frekuensi pemesanan yang dapat mengefisiensikan biaya persediaan. Perusahaan dapat memproyeksikan kebutuhan bahan baku gula periode mendatang dengan menggunakan peramalan untuk mengetahui kebutuhan dan gambaran pengaplikasian metode EOQ. Hasil perhitungan didapatkan bahwa jumlah pemesanan ekonomis adalah 141.289 kg dengan frekuensi pemesanan 107 kali, safety stock 11.670 kg, dan reorder point 129.216 kg. Total biaya persediaan yang dapat dihemat oleh perusahaan adalah Rp355.637,00 pada setiap pemesanan. Proyeksi kebutuhan bahan baku gula periode selanjutnya adalah 14.015.912 kg.
PT XYZ is a milk processing manufacturing company that produces sweetened condensed milk with fluctuating raw material requirements, one of which is sugar. The company is faced with the occurrence of excess supply of SKM products due to competitive market competition so that the calculation of the need and the reorder point of sugar raw materials is less than optimal. Evaluation of inventory management using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method can be used as a model for solving inventory problems to determine the number of economic orders, safety stock, reorder point, and order frequencies that can minimize inventory costs. Companies can project the need for sugar raw materials in the coming period by using forecasting to determine the amount of need and an overview of the application of the EOQ method. The calculation results show that the economic order quantity is 141.289 kg with an order frequency of 107 times, a safety stock of 11.670 kg, and a reorder point of 129.216 kg. The total inventory cost that can be saved by the company is Rp355.637,00 on every order. The projected need for sugar raw materials for the next period is 14.015.912 kg.
