| dc.description.abstract | Liquid smoke is an additive that functions as a natural antioxidant and boosts the immune system. This study aims to determine the effect of liquid smoke on the characteristics of internal organs and reproductive organs of laying quails aged 40- 47 weeks. Liquid smoke feeding is not expected to negatively affect the characteristics of internal organs and reproductive organs of laying quail. The observed variables were the percentage weight of liver, heart, spleen, rampela, proventriculus, intestine, cecum, and colon, relative length of infundibulum, magnum, isthmus, uterus and vagina, and the number of egg follicles. The research activities were carried out using a completely randomized design method with 4 treatments and 3 replications. Consists of 4 liquid smoke treatments (P0: drinking water without liquid smoke, P1: liquid smoke 0.25 mL/L water; P2: liquid smoke 0.5 mL/L water; P3: liquid smoke 1 mL/L water). Data were analyzed using Minitab application with ANOVA test method. The results of the study showed that coconut shell liquid smoke can be used as a natural additive and administration up to a dose of 1 mL/L drinking water does not interfere with the work system of internal organs, digestion and reproduction. | - |
