| dc.description.abstract | Development is the main goal that a region or country aims to achieve in order to improve the welfare of its population, particularly in the areas of education, health, and income. This study aims to examine the impact of social security programs on the Human Development Index (HDI) in Indonesia during the period 2016–2024. The analysis employs panel data regression using two different model approaches. The first model assesses the influence of the number of active social security participants on HDI, while the second model evaluates the effect of social security claim values on HDI. The findings reveal that the number of active participants in programs such as JKN, JKK, and JKM has a positive and significant effect on HDI. In contrast, JHT and JP show no significant influence. Furthermore, both health and employment-related social security claims have a positive impact on HDI. These results indicate that social security programs contribute to improving human development in Indonesia. Nevertheless, continuous evaluation and equitable distribution of these programs are necessary and should be considered by policymakers to maximize their effectiveness. | |
