Abstract: Perairan Karangantu di Teluk Banten merupakan kawasan budidaya kerang hijau (Perna viridis) yang rentan terhadap pencemaran logam berat timbal (Pb) akibat aktivitas antropogenik. Penelitian ini menganalisis kemampuan kerang hijau dalam mengakumulasi logam berat timbal (Pb). Analisis deskriptif terhadap data sekunder dari Balai Pengujian Kesehatan Ikan dan Lingkungan (BPKIL) Serang (2019-2024), dilengkapi dengan perhitungan Bioconcentration Factor (BCF) dan Maximum Tolerable Intake (MTI). Hasil menunjukkan konsentrasi Pb di air dan kerang hijau melebihi baku mutu, terutama pada tahun 2019 (1,45 mg/L di air dan 0,8 mg/kg di kerang), dengan kemampuan akumulasi kerang tergolong rendah (BCF < 100). Batas aman konsumsi bervariasi berdasarkan kelompok umur dan berat badan, misalnya 0,14-0,30 kg/minggu untuk anak-anak berdasarkan risiko neurotoksisitas. Studi ini menekankan pentingnya pemantauan rutin dan pengelolaan lingkungan untuk keberlanjutan perairan budidaya dengan melibatkan Dinas Kelautan dan Perikanan, masyarakat pembudidaya, dan sektor industri maritim.
Karangantu Waters in Banten Bay is a green mussel (Perna viridis) cultivation area vulnerable to lead (Pb) heavy metal pollution due to anthropogenic activities. This study analyzes the ability of green mussels to accumulate lead (Pb). A descriptive analysis was conducted using secondary data from the Fish and Environmental Health Testing Center, Serang (2019-2024), we calculated the Bioconcentration Factor (BCF) and Maximum Tolerable Intake (MTI). The results show Pb concentrations exceeded regulatory thresholds, peaking in 2019 (1.45 mg/L in water and 0.8 mg/kg in mussels), with low accumulation capacity (BCF < 100). Safe consumption limits varied by age group and body weight, ranging from 0,14-0,30 kg/week for children based on neurotoxicity risk. The study emphasizes the need for routine monitoring and environmental management to ensure the sustainability of aquaculture waters, involving the Marine and Fisheries Agency, local cultivators, and the maritime industry sector.
