Abstract: Ekosistem mangrove memiliki potensi besar dalam mendukung kegiatan perikanan budidaya yang bernilai ekonomi tinggi.
Mangrove ecosystems hold significant potential in supporting economically valuable aquaculture activities. However, the management of mangrove-based aquaculture in Randusanga Wetan Village, Brebes Regency, has not been fully integrated within a social-ecological system (SES) framework. This study aims to map SES components and analyze ecological and economic factors affecting the sustainability of mangrove-aquaculture, in order to formulate sustainable management strategies. The research was conducted from October to November 2024 through field observations, interviews, and analysis of both primary and secondary data. The results indicate a strong interconnection among SES components, where resource users (RA) play a central role in the system, yet weaknesses still exist in the governance (RG) aspect. Sustainable resource management strategies can be achieved through collaboration between local government and aquaculture practitioners, supported by institutional strengthening, capacity building of farmers, and the protection of mangrove ecosystems as a key natural resource.
