dc.description.abstractSebagai buah dengan tingkat klimaterik yang tinggi, pisang Cavendish memiliki kecenderungan cepat membusuk (hanya 2-3 hari) sehingga menghambat distribusi jarak jauh. EDIPACK merupakan inovasi teknologi penyerap etilen pada karton bergelombang yang dapat memperpanjang umur simpan buah pisang Cavendish 6-7 hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merekomendasikan strategi komersialisasi teknologi EDIPACK agar dapat diterima dan masuk ke pasar. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan yang bervariasi seperti design thinking untuk mengidentifikasi permasalahan PT XYZ, analisis tingkat kesiapterapan teknologi (TKT) yang dilengkapi analisis Goldsmith sebagai analisis proses komersialisasi, dan analisis valuasi teknologi untuk rekomendasi strategi komersialisasi kepada PT XYZ. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pada bulan Februari-April 2024 dengan enam responden, ditemukan hasil penelitian melalui identifikasi permasalahan antara inventor dan PT XYZ. Berdasarkan analisis TRL (Technology Readiness Level), produk EDIPACK telah mencapai tingkat kedelapan dimana diperlukan perumusan strategi komersialisasi untuk mencapai tingkat kesembilan sehingga menggunakan analisis Goldsmith sebagai analisis lanjutan. Model analisis komersialisasi Goldsmith membuktikan EDIPACK masuk tahap kesebelas (pre-production prototype). Kemudian, validasi kelayakan komersialisasi menggunakan analisis valuasi teknologi sebagai strategi yang ditawarkan kepada PT XYZ, EDIPACK membuktikan nilai manfaat teknologi secara positif dengan besaran royalti minimal 4,63% dari total revenue. Disimpulkan bahwa hasil penelitian EDIPACK memiliki potensi yang sangat layak untuk dikomersialisasikan.-
dc.description.abstractAs a highly climacteric fruit, Cavendish bananas have a tendency to spoil rapidly (only 2-3 days), which hinders long-distance distribution. EDIPACK is an innovative ethylene-absorbing technology integrated into corrugated cardboard that can extend the shelf life of Cavendish bananas to 6-7 days. This study aimed to recommend commercialization strategies for EDIPACK technology to gain market acceptance and entry. The study employed descriptive qualitative methods with varied approaches including design thinking to identify PT XYZ's problems, Technology Readiness Level (TRL) analysis complemented by Goldsmith analysis for commercialization process assessment, and technology valuation analysis for commercialization strategy recommendations to PT XYZ. Based on research conducted from February to April 2024 with six respondents, findings were obtained through problem identification between the inventor and PT XYZ. TRL analysis shows EDIPACK has reached level eight, requiring commercialization strategy formulation to achieve level nine, thus utilizing Goldsmith analysis as further assessment. The Goldsmith commercialization analysis model proves EDIPACK has entered stage eleven (pre-production prototype). Subsequently, commercialization feasibility validation using technology valuation analysis as a strategy offered to PT XYZ demonstrates positive technology benefits with a minimum royalty rate of 4.63% of total revenue. The research concludes that EDIPACK has highly feasible commercialization potential.-
