| dc.description.abstract | The high open unemployment rate among senior secondary school graduates, particularly within Generation-Z, reflects ongoing challenges in the transition from education to the labor market. Job search duration can serve as an indicator of the efficiency of the matching process. This study aims to analyze differences in job search duration between vocational and non-vocational graduates in Indonesia, as well as the factors that influence it. The data used were obtained from the 2023 Sakernas and analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Cox Proportional Hazard model. Result shows that vocational graduates experience a shorter job search duration than non-vocational graduates. Based on the Cox regression results, reservation wage, age, marital status, household status, residential classification, work experience, and the method of contacting family or acquaintances significantly affect job search duration, with variations in their impact across different educational backgrounds. These findings provide important implications in designing job transition programs that are more adaptive to educational backgrounds. | - |
