Mangrove ecosystem plays a crucial role in climate change mitigation due to its high carbon storage capacity. This study aims to estimate aboveground biomass and carbon storage potential in the mangrove forest Lontar Village, Tangerang, using Sentinel-2A imagery. Data processing involved vegetation analysis to determine above ground carbon values and processing of Sentinel-2A imagery to obtain values for vegetation indices. Data were analyzed using correlation and regression methods. The vegetation analysis results showed a total biomass of 113,230.54 kg and a carbon stock of 37.64 tons/ha at the study site. The Sentinel-2A imagery analysis identified the Atmospherically Resistant Vegetation Index (ARVI) as the most effective vegetation index to represent carbon storage capacity with a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.81 and R² of 65.16%.
