| dc.description.abstract | This study aims to analyze the effect of sectoral investment on formal labor absorption in Indonesia during the 2010-2023 period, focusing on three main investment components: Foreign direct investment (FDI), Domestic direct investment (DDI), and sectoral credit financing. Using panel data regression analysis with the Random Effect Model (REM) approach, the study also explores the possibility of a non-linear relationship through the inclusion of quadratic variables. The results indicate that both DDI and FDI have a positive impact on labor absorption, although DDI exhibits a turning point where its effect diminishes beyond a certain level. Sectoral credit also shows a significant positive influence on employment. These findings highlight the importance of directing investment towards labor-intensive sectors to optimize job creation. | - |
