dc.description.abstractKucing membutuhkan perawatan khusus agar terhindar dari berbagai penyakit. Salah satu penyakit yang menyerang kucing adalah cat flu yang disebabkan oleh Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, dan Chlamydophila felis. Munculnya gejala klinis flu yang parah dapat berdampak pada kematian hewan. Oleh karena itu, peran paramedis dalam perawatan intensif pada kucing yang terkena cat flu perlu dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menguraikan peran paramedis pada kucing yang memiliki gejala cat flu melalui identifikasi dini faktor penyebab terjadinya cat flu serta menguraikan perawatan kucing yang memiliki gejala cat flu. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 5 Agustus sampai 5 November 2024 di Klinik Hewan Satwagia RE Martadinata. Penulis menggunakan data sekunder berupa data rekam medis dari 36 ekor kucing serta melakukan peranan paramedis dalam perawatan pasien cat flu. Penelitian menunjukan gejala yang paling banyak ditemukan adalah nasal discharge sebanyak 30 ekor kucing. Kucing yang terjangkit cat flu diberikan terapi kausatif dan 8 ekor kucing menjalani terapi suportif berupa terapi inhalasi menggunakan nebulizer. Paramedis memiliki peran penting dalam perawatan kucing yang terkena cat flu dengan melakukan pemeriksaan fisik, observasi gejala klinis, dan perawatan pada pasien.-
dc.description.abstractCats need special care to avoid various diseases. One of the diseases that attacks cats is cat flu caused by Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Chlamydophila felis. The emergence of severe clinical sign of flu can result in animal death. Therefore, the role of paramedics in intensive care for cats with cat flu needs to be carried out. The purpose of this study is to describe the role of paramedics in cats with cat flu signs through early identification of the factors causing cat flu and to describe the care of cats with cat flu symptoms. This study was conducted from August 5 to November 5 2024 at the Satwagia RE Martadinata Animal Clinic. The author used secondary data in the form of medical record data from 36 cats and carried out the role of paramedics in caring for cat flu patients. The study showed that the most common symptom found was nasal discharge in 30 cats. Cats infected with cat flu were given causative therapy and 8 cats underwent supportive therapy in the form of inhalation therapy using a nebulizer. Paramedics have an important role in the care of cats with cat flu by doing physical examinations, observing clinical signs, and treating patients.-
