Lymphoma is a benign tumor that can infect dogs with up to 80% of cases. Supporting examinations of hematology, blood chemistry, ultrasonography, and radiography to confirm the diagnosis of lymphoma. The aim of the study was to explain the flow of supporting examinations used in cases of lymphoma in dogs at Hikari Vet Clinic. This study used a male dog, Mini Pinscher breed, 12 years old, and 5.1 kg body weight. The patient's physical condition had lumps on the popliteal lymph node ±2cm, submandibular lymph node ±3.5cm, axillary lymph node ±1.5cm, and inguinal lymph node ±3.4cm. The patient's hematology results showed an increase in WBC and granulocytes. RBC, hemoglobin, hematocrit, and platelet parameters showed a decrease from normal values. Blood chemistry results showed an increase in ALP and GPT, while GLU and TCHO showed a decrease from normal values. Ultrasonography showed enlarged lymphnodes with round shape, uneven edges, and hypoechoic organ appearance. The dorsoventral position x-ray results showed enlarged lymphnodes in the neck area. The series of supporting examinations performed on lymphoma patients include equipment preparation, animal preparation, and operator preparation. |
