| Abstract: | Faktor lingkungan dan aktivitas manusia di sekitar Pantai Indah Kapuk dapat berdampak pada kualitas air sehingga berpotensi menyebabkan pencemaran jika tidak dikelola dengan baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi tingkat pencemaran di perairan Pantai Indah Kapuk. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Agustus 2024 – Januari 2025 di Pantai Indah Kapuk. Pengumpulan data berupa parameter suhu, DO, pH, kekeruhan, TSS, amonia, nitrat, nitrit, dan fosfat. Selanjutnya, data dianalisis menggunakan tiga metode, yaitu Indeks Pencemaran (IP), Storet and Retrieval (STORET), dan Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment (CCME) untuk menentukan status pencemaran perairan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan beberapa parameter fisika dan kimia di perairan Pantai Indah Kapuk telah melebihi baku mutu air laut, diantaranya, kekeruhan, suhu, amonia, nitrat, dan oksigen terlarut. Nilai IP perairan Pantai Indah Kapuk tingkat pencemaran ringan. Sementara itu, STORET menunjukkan perairan tercemar sedang, dan CCME mengklasifikasikan sebagai buruk. Pencemaran pada Pantai Indah Kapuk diduga berasal dari aktivitas antropogenik, terutama limbah domestik yang masuk melalui pembuangan langsung dan pengelolaan limbah kurang baik. Implikasi pengelolaan yang dapat dilakukan perlunya optimalisasi Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah (IPAL) untuk mengolah limbah domestik dan industri yang menjadi sumber utama pencemaran. Environmental factors and human activities around Pantai Indah Kapuk affect water quality and can cause pollution if not properly managed. This study aims to evaluate pollution levels in the waters of Pantai Indah Kapuk. The research was conducted from August 2024 to January 2025. Data were collected on temperature, dissolved oxygen (DO), pH, turbidity, total suspended solids (TSS), ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, and phosphate. The data were analyzed using three methods: Pollution Index (IP), Storet and Retrieval (STORET), and the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment (CCME) to determine pollution status. Results show several physical and chemical parameters turbidity, temperature, ammonia, nitrate, and dissolved oxygen exceed seawater quality standards. The IP indicates light pollution, STORET shows moderate pollution, and CCME classifies the water quality as poor. Pollution in Pantai Indah Kapuk is suspected to come from anthropogenic sources, mainly domestic waste discharged directly and poor waste management. Effective management requires optimizing wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) to treat domestic and industrial waste, the primary pollution sources. |
