Motile aeromonas septicemia (MAS) is one of the diseases that attacks catfish caused by Aeromonas hydrophila bacteria. Some preventive efforts that can be done are giving binahong leaf flour and vaccines through feed, but the potential combination of the two has not been done. This study aims to test the effectiveness of binahong leaf flour, commercial vaccines, and their combination as prevention of A. hydrophila bacterial infection in catfish. The treatments given were positive control (K +), negative control (K -), binahong leaves (DB), vaccine (VAK), binahong leaves + vaccine (DBV). The catfish used had an initial length of 8.6 ± 0.4 cm and an initial body weight of 6.3 ± 0.09 g which were maintained for 42 days by giving binahong leaf treatment feed 14 days before the challenge test, vaccine for 7 days, combination for 14 days at the beginning of maintenance, then challenged on the 43rd day, with a total maintenance period of 57 days. DBV treatment showed better results in the parameters of total erythrocytes, total leukocytes, hemoglobin levels, hematocrit levels, phagocytic activity, respiratory burst, and antibody titers compared to K+. Binahong leaf flour alone and a combination of binahong leaf flour and vaccine are equally good in preventing A. hydrophila bacterial infections in catfish.
