| Abstract: | Ikan platidoras Platydoras armatulus sangat potensial untuk dibudidayakan. Platydoras armatulus is a highly promising species for aquaculture. However, its seed production faces several challenges, including low fry output and a gonadal maturation period in broodstock females exceeding two months. This final project aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of vitamin E supplementation, combined with both commercial and natural feeds, in enhancing the reproductive performance of female broodstock. The study involved four treatments: commercial feed (control), commercial feed + 1000 mg kg?¹ vitamin E (P1), commercial feed + 1000 mg kg?¹ vitamin E + earthworms Lumbricus rubellus (P2), and commercial feed + 1000 mg kg?¹ vitamin E + bloodworms Chironomus sp. (P3). Based on the results, treatment P1 produced the most optimal outcomes in terms of fecundity, egg diameter, fertilization rate (FR), hatching rate (HR), survival rate (SR), number of broodstock reaching gonadal maturity, gonadal maturation speed, gonadosomatic index (GSI), and hepatosomatic index (HSI). |
