Sistem SMS Spam Detector Untuk SMS Berbahasa Indonesia Pada Smartphone Android

Abstract

Nowadays, the presence of SMSs that indicate fraud acts is rising and very disturbing. Those SMSs often use unsuspicious sentences, so that people maybe misleaded. Several algorithms have been studied to find the SMS patterns that indicate the presence of fraud, hoax, and advertisement. The pattern was then used to filter the next incoming SMS spam. Naïve Bayes algorithm is one of the most effective approaches used in filtering techniques. Therefore, this research implements this method on Android smartphone to prevent SMS spam from reaching their destination. Several SMSS thut contain fraud, hoax, and advertisement were used to test the application. It was found that the proposed application can detect and classify SMS spam with 100% accuracy on the testing dataset
