dc.description.abstractIkan mas merupakan komoditas ikan air tawar dengan prospek tinggi. Namun demikian masih terjadi kendala berupa produksi yang tidak maksimal khususnya pada kegiatan pemijahan. Berdasarkan hal tersebut pelaksanaan magang khusus bertujuan untuk melakukan proses pemijahan induk dengan inovasi suplementasi kurkumin pada pakan. Pemijahan ikan dimulai dari pemeliharaan induk hingga pemeliharaan larva. Induk dipelihara dengan suplementasi kurkumin pada pakan dengan dosis 5 g kg-1 pakan. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa induk yang diberi suplementasi kurkumin menghasilkan performa yang lebih baik ditinjau berdasarkan parameter fekunditas sebesar 70.673–84.631 butir, fase kematangan gonad lebih cepat, diameter telur pada pada fase TKG IV sebesar 1,47±0,12 mm, serta volume kuning telur lebih besar sebesar 2,63±0,06 mm3. Suplementasi kurkumin menghasilkan performa telur dan performa larva yang lebih baik dibandingkan kontrol namun tidak mempengaruhi derajat pembuahan, derajat penetasan, serta sintasan. Pemberian kurkumin juga tidak mempengaruhi kualitas air dan komposisi protein pakan. Pemijahan ikan mas yang dimulai dari pemeliharaan induk yang diberi suplementasi kurkumin menunjukkan hasil kinerja produksi yang lebih baik.
dc.description.abstractCommon carp is a freshwater fish commodity with high economic potential. However, challenges remain, particularly in achieving optimal production during spawning. To address this issue, a specialized internship program was conducted to implement broodstock spawning with innovative curcumin supplementation in the feed. The spawning process includes broodstock maintenance through larval rearing. The broodstock was fed with curcumin-supplemented feed at a dosage of 5 g kg?¹ of feed. The observational results indicate that broodstock supplemented with curcumin exhibited enhanced performance, as evidenced by a fecundity range of 70,673–84,631 eggs, accelerated gonadal maturation, an egg diameter of 1.47±0.12 mm at stage TKG IV, and a larger yolk volume of 2.63±0.06 mm³. Curcumin supplementation resulted in improved egg and larval performance compared to the control group, but did not significantly affect fertilization, hatching, or survival rates. Additionally, curcumin supplementation had no effect on water quality or protein composition of the feed. The spawning process, initiated by broodstock maintenance under curcumin supplementation, demonstrated enhanced production performance, indicating its potential as a practical approach for improving common carp breeding outcomes.
