Abstract: Jakarta sebagai wilayah ibukota, memiliki masalah salah satunya yaitu penurunan kualitas air dan besarnya pencemaran pada perairan danau. Adanya pertambahan jumlah penduduk dan aktivitas manusia, mengakibatkan perubahan nilai kualitas air pada danau. Penurunan kualitas air juga diakibatkan oleh perubahan pemanfaatan lahan, hal tersebut menjadi ancaman bagi Situ Rawa Gelam yang berada pada kawasan Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung (JIEP). Pencemaran merupakan suatu kegiatan masuknya suatu bahan yang dapat mengganggu keseimbangan pada ekosistem tersebut. Pencemaran dan kualitas air dapat dipetakan berdasarkan kepekaan danau terhadap sumber pencemar yang masuk melalui inlet. Sebaran pencemaran dapat dipetakan secara spasial dan temporal menggunakan Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG). Nilai kualitas air dan sumber pencemar mengalami perubahan setiap waktu, perubahan yang terjadi dipengaruhi oleh keadaan lingkungan ataupun aktivitas di sekitar danau. Pengamatan kualitas air dilakukan pada bulan Maret 2021 dan Agustus 2021 di Situ Rawa Gelam, Jakarta Timur dan menggunakan data sekunder. Penelitian dilakukan pada tiga titik yaitu pada bagian inlet, middle, serta outlet pada danau tersebut. Pengambilan data pada titik tersebut dimaksudkan agar dapat mewakili nilai atau karakteristik kualitas air pada danau. Status kualitas air Situ Rawa Gelam tergolong tercemar sedang hingga tercemar berat. Kondisi status kualitas air ini disebabkan oleh parameter-parameter TSS, DO, total nitrogen, COD, BOD, fecal coliform, dan total coliform yang melebihi baku mutu air kelas II. Pada musim hujan kondisi kualitas air cenderung lebih baik dibandingkan musim kemarau. Penggunaan lahan di sekitar perairan dan di bagian hulunya, dengan berbagai aktivitas di dalamnya, besar kemungkinan berkaitan dengan kondisi kualitas air situ yang kurang baik tersebut.
As the capital region, Jakarta faces several environmental issues, one of which is the declining water quality and increasing pollution in lake ecosystems. The growing population and intensified human activities have contributed to significant changes in lake water quality. This degradation is further exacerbated by land use changes, posing a serious threat to Situ Rawa Gelam, located within the Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung (JIEP). Pollution is defined as the introduction of substances that disrupt the balance of the ecosystem. Both pollution levels and water quality can be assessed by analyzing the lake’s sensitivity to pollutant sources, particularly those entering through inlets. The spatial and temporal distribution of pollution can be mapped using Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Water quality and pollutant sources vary over time, influenced by environmental conditions and surrounding human activities. Water quality monitoring was conducted at Situ Rawa Gelam, East Jakarta, in March and August 2021, using secondary data. The study was carried out at three locations within the lake: the inlet, the middle section, and the outlet. These sampling points were selected to represent the overall water quality characteristics of the lake. The results indicate that Situ Rawa Gelam is moderately to heavily polluted. This status is attributed to several parameters TSS, DO, total nitrogen, COD, BOD, fecal coliform, and total coliform that exceed the thresholds established for Class II water quality standards. Water quality during the rainy season tends to be better compared to the dry season. Land use surrounding the lake and its upstream areas, along with associated activities, likely contributes to the suboptimal water quality conditions observed in the lake.
