| dc.description.abstract | Teluk Bogam waters in Central Kalimantan offers significant ecological, economic, and socio-cultural potential. However, activities in this area contribute to environmental pressures, such as waste pollution, which affects water quality. This study aims to analyze plankton biodiversity and its relationship with water quality in Teluk Bogam. The research was conducted for 4 months (March, July, September 2024, and January 2025), across 3 observation stations. The findings revealed 7 classes of phytoplankton and 10 classes of zooplankton, with Coscinodiscus sp. and nauplius being the most abundant genus. The plankton community showed moderate diversity (H’), high evenness (E), and low dominance (C). The classes of Chlorophyceae, Dinophyceae, Sarcodina, and Gastropoda have correlation with dissolved oxygen and turbidity, while Ulvophyceae, Rhizopoda, and Urochordata have correlation with pH and ammonia. Additionally, classes Euglenophyceae, Bacillariophyceae, Dictyochophyceae, Ciliata, Polychaeta, Malacostraca, Copepoda, Thecostraca and Rotifera have correlation with temperature and salinity. In general, the water quality conditions in Teluk Bogam are still very good and support optimal plankton life. | - |
