dc.description.abstractOrnamental plant is a non-food horticulture commodities, in everyday life cultivated for decoration inside and outside the home. A study is needed to determine how much biodiversity and in particular the potential ornamental plant species that exist in the Mount Merbabu National Park. Monitoring of ornamental plants in TNGMb is aimed to record the potential of ornamental plants in the Mount Merbabu National Park. Field observation potential of ornamental plants implemented in forest areas in Mount Merbabu National Park. Field observation was done to determine the potential of ornamental plants held in the forests of Mount Merbabu National Park in Central Java in February 2015. Based on data obtained from field observation conducted in the National Park obtained 16 families of 28 species of ornamental plants that are in the National Park of Mount Merbabu. The potential of ornamental plants that dominate in TNGMb is Pholidota carnea many as 230 individuals and Impatiens platypetala Lindl as many as 174 individuals.id
