Plant growth can be improved by providing complete nutrition including macro and micro nutrients. Providing nutrients by fertilizing the soil is often less effective because some of it is lost by water flow,or bound by soil components so that it cannot be absorbed by plants. This study aimed to determine the effect of providing nutrients in the form of organic fertilizer through an infusion system on the growth and physiology of tomato and red guava plants. This experiment was conducted for 8 months and used a completely randomized design (CRD) of 2 factors with 4 repetitions. The first factor was the type of plant, namely tomato and red guava, while the second factor is the concentration of nutrients (liquid organic fertilizer) consisting of 6 levels, i.e.: infusion of 40 mL/L, infusion of 20 mL/L, watering water and pure water infusion (negative control), and direct watering using liquid organic fertilizer 40 mL/L and 20 mL/L (positive control). Parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, root length, dry weight of leaves, roots, and stems, chlorophyll content, and xylem diameter of roots and stems. Observation data were analyzed using ANOVA followed by Duncan's test with an a value of 5%. The results showed that the application of organic nutrients by infusion was effective in providing nutrients for plants. The results also showed that plants with infusion treatment did not experience damage of the stem xylem.
