Seagrass ecosystems play a crucial role as vital habitats, nursery areas, spawning grounds, feeding zones, and shelters for a diverse array of fish and marine species. Preserving these ecosystems is essential for the sustainability of fish resources. However, research on the fish community structure within the seagrass ecosystem of Pramuka Island has been limited. This study aims to evaluate the fish community structure in the seagrass ecosystem of Pramuka Island during high and low tide conditions. Data collection was conducted from October to December 2023 using gill nets with three different mesh sizes to capture fish samples. The collected fish were identified and measured for length and body weight. Data analysis involved assessments of fish abundance, species richness, diversity, evenness, and dominance. A total of 3.715 individuals belonging to 12 orders, 26 families, and 71 species were captured during the study. Fish diversity and evenness were found to be greater at low tide, while species richness and dominance peaked at high tide. Overall, the fish community structure at both high and low tides showed no significant differences.
