Oil palm is a key commodity for Indonesia's economy, with fresh fruit bunch production reaching 45.58 million tons in 2022. The demand for oil palm seedlings is critical to optimize production. Fertilization during the nursery phase can use organic swiftlet droppings, which contain essential nutrients, including macro elements like N, P2 O5, K2O, and micro-nutrients. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of swiftlet droppings on oil palm seedlings and their relationship with the Visible Atmospheric Resistant Index (VARI) from RGB drone imagery. Conducted in East Kotawaringin Regency (February–May 2024), the research included a control group (NPK 15-15-15) and three treatments: NPK with 100 g, 200 g, and 300 g of organic fertilizer. A total of 1,428 seedlings and 160 samples were used. Results showed that the highest dosage (300 grams) yielded the best growth. While VARI showed a positive correlation with growth parameters, the weak correlation coefficient (0.2–0.4) suggests a limited relationship with the plants' actual condition.
