Abstract: Cantrang merupakan alat tangkap yang paling banyak digunakan di Pelabuhan Perikanan Nusantara Brondong. Cantrang mengalami perubahan menjadi jaring tarik berkantong (JTB). Perbedaan konstruksi menimbulkan pertanyaan tentang dampaknya terhadap hasil tangkapan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan unit penangkapan cantrang serta perubahannya menjadi JTB, mengidentifikasi komposisi komposisi hasil tangkapan cantrang dan JTB, dan menghitung indeks musim penangkapan ikan. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif dan pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara purposive sampling. Analisis data pola musim penangkapan menggunakan analisis deret waktu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan komposisi hasil tangkapan cantrang dan JTB terdiri dari HTU 71% dan HTS 29%. Musim puncak penangkapan ikan ikan swanggi (Priacanthus tayenus) pada bulan Oktober, kurisi (Nemipterus nemurus) pada bulan September, kuniran (Lutjanus vitta) pada bulan September, biji nangka (Parupeneus heptacanthus) pada bulan November, kapasan (Pentaprion longimanus) pada bulan September, cumi-cumi (Uroteuthis edulis) pada bulan Oktober.
Cantrang is the most fishing gear used by fisherman in Brondong archipelago fishing port. Cantrang has changed into jaring tarik berkantong (JTB). The difference in construction raises questions about impact on catches. The objectives of this study were to describe the cantrang fishing unit and its change to JTB, identify the composition of catches, and calculate the fishing season index. The research used descriptive methods and data collection was done by purposive sampling. Data analysis of fishing season patterns using time series analysis. The results showed that the percentage of HTU by cantrang and JTB was 71% and the percentage of HTS was 29%. The peak fishing season of swanggi (Priacanthus tayenus) in October, kurisi (Nemipterus nemurus) in September, kuniran (Lutjanus vitta) in September, jackfruit seeds (Parupeneus heptacanthus) in November, kapasan (Pentaprion longimanus) in September, squid (Uroteuthis edulis) in October.
