Abstract: Rekayasa bahan bakar diesel dengan cara menginjeksikan oksigen dengan teknologi ultrafine bubble (UFB) terbukti memberikan dampak positif pada uji kinerja mesin.
Diesel fuel engineering by injecting oxygen with ultrafine bubble (UFB) technology has been proven to have a positive impact on engine performance tests. In developing the application of UFB for fuel, it is necessary to know changes in the physical and chemical parameters of the fuel and their influence on the storage period. This research aimed to determine the effect of UFB oxygen injection on the parameters of viscosity, density, water content, total acid number, and oxidation stability between normal B35 CN48 biodiesel samples and those that had been treated with UFB. The methodology used was comparative, comparing the parameters of viscosity, density, water content, acid number, and oxidation stability every week, with the samples stored for 7 weeks to determine the storage stability of the fuel. The test results obtained were then compared with the applicable quality standards. The study results showed that injecting oxygen with a longer UFB bubbling time further increased viscosity and density while reducing water content and oxidation stability, but had no effect on the acid number. After seven weeks, there was an increase in viscosity, density, water content, and acid number, as well as a decrease in oxidation stability. Changes in the value of each test parameter after 7 weeks of storage did not exceed the limits required in the Decree of the Director General of Oil and Gas number 170.K/HK.02/DJM/2023 for B35 CN48 biodiesel fuel.
