Abstract: Mangrove memiliki beberapa peran penting untuk menjaga keseimbangan ekosistem.
Mangroves have several vital roles maintaining the balance of the ecosystem. Its essential role is as a habitat for associated biota, one of which is gastropods. Gastropods are shelled animals that act as bioindicator animals and influence the food chain. However, the existence of these gastropods can be lost due to excessive anthropogenic activities. This study aims to analyze the relationship between mangrove and gastropod communities in the Brebes Mangrovesari area. The data taken were in the form of density and Important Value Index (IVI) of mangroves, diversity, uniformity and dominance of gastropods, water quality and organic matter. From the results of the study, there were three types of mangroves and fifteen types of gastropods. The area has high mangroves, moderate gastropod diversity with low to moderate uniformity values and no dominant species. Water quality still meets quality standards and organic matter is relatively high. Canonical Correspondence Analysis (CCA) shows a fairly strong relationship, so the environmental conditions of mangroves and gastropods are interrelated.
