| Abstract: | Negara berkembang sering kali menghadapi dua tantangan ekonomi utama, yakni inflasi tinggi dan pertumbuhan ekonomi yang lambat. Developing countries often face two major economic challenges: high inflation and slow economic growth. Inflation, and the other determinants may become a problem for the economy if it is not controlled. This research analyzes the influence of inflation and other macroeconomic variables on economic growth in Indonesia, focusing on secondary time series data from 1986 to 2023. Using the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model, the study finds that inflation fluctuates and has a significant negative impact on real Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Additionally, variables such as exchange rates, government consumption expenditure, and the money supply show a significant positive relationship with economic growth. Cointegration tests indicate a long-term relationship among the tested variables. This research emphasizes the importance of managing inflation and government expenditure to promote sustainable economic growth. The findings are expected to contribute to the understanding of the economy in Indonesia and serve as a reference for policymakers in formulating more effective economic strategies. |
