Geographic Information System of Bogor City Using Flex and Google Maps API for Flash.

Abstract

In the year of 2008, Anggraeni developed Geographic Information System of Bogor city Facilities using ALOV Map. This research was motivated by the limited information about the location of facilities in the city of Bogor. The result of this research was the geographic information system that displayed a map in the form of spatial data vector with shapefile format. Our research was to develop Geographic Information System Bogor city using raster maps provided by Google Maps. This system was built using Flex framework and Google Maps API for Flash. Spatial data that used for this research came from Anggraeni (2008) in shapefile format. The functions of this system are able to display vector map that overlay on raster map, to display map description, to search location by the name of map attribute, to zoom in and zoom out. Those functions would be easier for users to obtain location information needed. Keywords: GIS, Google Maps API, Flex, Kota Bogor
