Abstract: Kenyamanan sapi merupakan bagian dari sistem manajemen yang bertujuan untuk menjaga kesehatan, memperpanjang umur produktif, dan memaksimalkan potensi hewan di peternakan. Indeks yang paling sering digunakan untuk mengukur kenyamanan sapi adalah Cow Comfort Index (CCI). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur CCI dan menentukan korelasinya dengan beberapa parameter lingkungan seperti suhu, kelembapan, dinding kandang, dan kepincangan pada sapi pedaging di Kecamatan Way Pengubuan dan Terbanggi Besar Kabupaten Lampung Tengah. Data diambil dua kali pada pagi dan siang hari di 44 Kandang sapi pedaging. Hasil analisis Spearman menunjukkan bahwa nilai korelasi antara CCI dengan suhu= 0.231 (p<0.05), kelembapan = -0.288 (p<0.05), dinding kandang = -0.202 (p<0.05), dan kepincangan = 0.041 (p>0.05), semuanya memiliki korelasi yang lemah terhadap tingkat kenyamanan sapi. Namun, pada parameter suhu, kelembapan, dan dinding kandang terdapat signifikansi terhadap CCI. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa suhu dan kelembapan serta konstruksi kandang pada kedua kecamatan di Lampung Tengah memberikan kenyamanan pada sapi, meskipun belum optimal.
Cow comfort is a crucial part of management system aimed at maintaining health, extending productive lifespan, and maximizing the potential of animals on farms. The most commonly used index to measure cattle comfort is the Cow Comfort Index (CCI). This study was conducted to measure CCI and its correlation with several environmental parameters such as temperature, humidity, cage walls, and lameness in beef cattle in the sub-districts of Way Pengubuan and Terbanggi Besar, Central Lampung Regency. Data were collected twice daily in the morning and afternoon from 44 beef cattle barns. The results showed that the correlation value between CCI and temperature = 0.231 (p<0.05), humidity = -0.288 (p<0.05), barn walls = -0.202 (p<0.05), and lameness = 0.041 (p>0.05), had weak correlation with the level of cattle comfort. However, there is significance in the parameters of temperature, humidity and cage walls on CCI. This shows that the temperature and humidity as well as the construction of the barn in the two sub-districts in Central Lampung provide comfort for the cows, even though they are not optimal.
