Abstract: Objek Wisata Alam Muncar merupakan kawasan wisata yang terletak di Taman Nasional Gunung Merapi.
The Muncar Natural Tourism Object (OWA Muncar) is a tourist area located in the Mount Merapi National Park. This research aims to identify visitor characteristics, present visitor assessments, estimate the travel cost model, and evaluate the prospects for OWA Muncar development. The research results indicate that visitors are predominantly female, aged 17-25, and come from Yogyakarta. The area is considered safe with adequate facilities and information services, easy accessibility to the area, good service, affordable ticket prices, and no environmental pollution issues. The linear regression model showed that the variables of age, travel time, number of dependents, time spent, and length of knowledge correlated with the frequency of visits at OWA Muncar and the rest were negatively correlated. Development prospects can be pursued in terms of natural aspects by optimizing the use of biological resources, improving and adding facilities, and increasing entrance ticket prices based on visitor willingness to pay.
