dc.description.abstractRajungan merupakan salah satu hasil tangkapan komoditas ekspor yang tertangkap pada bubu lipat. Bubu lipat merupakan salah satu alat tangkap yang umum digunakan oleh nelayan di perairan Gebang Mekar Kabupaten Cirebon dengan menggunakan umpan ikan pepetek. Keberadaan umpan ikan pepetek yang mengalami kelangkaan akibat penangkapan dan penggunaan lampu LED biru sudah pernah diujicobakan secara laboratorium sehingga perlu dilakukan ujicoba secara langsung di lapangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pengoperasian bubu rajungan dengan atraktor umpan dan lampu LED biru dan membandingkan pengaruh penggunaan umpan ikan pepetek dan lampu LED terhadap hasil tangkapan pada bubu lipat yang dilakukan pada bulan Oktober sampai November 2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode experimental fishing dengan mengikuti trip penangkapan mulai proses setting, perendaman (soaking), hauling, dan melakukan pengukuran karapas rajungan serta bobot hasil tangkapan selama 17 kali trip dengan menggunakan perlakuan bubu umpan ikan pepetek dan bubu lampu LED. Hasil tangkapan rajungan menggunakan umpan ikan pepetek yaitu sebesar 134 ekor lebih tinggi apabila dibandingkan dengan lampu LED biru yaitu sebesar 42 ekor. Hasil analisis uji t hasil tangkapan dari segi jumlah dan bobot menunjukkan kedua perlakuan memiliki hasil tangkapan berbeda nyata dengan nilai Signifikasi (P<0,05).-
dc.description.abstractThe blue swimming crab is one of the export commodities caught using collapsible traps. Fisher commonly use these traps in the waters of Gebang Mekar Cirebon Regency, using ponyfish bait. However, due to the scarcity of ponyfish bait from overfishing, the use of blue LED lights as an alternative has been tested in the laboratory. To further investigate, direct trials in the field are neccessary. The study aims to identify the effectiveness of crab traps using both bait and blue LED light attractors and to compare the impact of using ponyfish bait versus LED lights on catches in crab traps. The study was conducted from October to November 2023 and applied an experimental fishing method. This involved 17 trips, which included the setting process, soaking, hauling, and measuring the crab carapace and the weight of the catch. The study found that the catch of crabs using ponyfish bait was higher, with 134 individual, compared to 42 individuals using blue LED lights. Futhermore, the t-test analysis showed that the two treatments resulted in significantly different catches, with a significance value of P<0,05.-
