End Point Rate (EPR).
Brebes, Jawa Tengah Coastal areas are areas between land and sea waters that have great potential to be utilized, especially in the development and tourism sectors. Natural processes such as waves, currents, wind, and tides, as well as human activities such as land use, cultivation, and resource exploration, greatly affect shoreline changes. This study aims to determine shoreline changes on the coast of Brebes Regency, Central Java using the Digital Shoreline Analysis System (DSAS) method using NDWI. The DSAS method is used to calculate the distance and rate of shoreline change statistically and geospatially, through Net Shoreline Movement (NSM) and End Point Rate (EPR). The research location is divided into 7 zones with 19 subzones in Brebes Regency, Central Java. The highest abrasion was in subzone E1 (Kaliwlingi Village) with a shoreline retreat distance of 573.17 meters and a retreat rate of 79.07 m/year. The highest accretion is in subzone F2 (Kaliwlingi Village) with a shoreline advancement distance of 1832.46 meters and an advancement rate of 247.08 m/year. Human activities characterized by the many changes in the function of coastal land used as pond culture is a factor that gives a strong influence on shoreline change in Brebes Regency, Central Java. |
