kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat tentang cara kerjanya.
Binary options are illegal in Indonesia and have caused financial losses due to the public's lack of understanding of how they work. This study analyzes the influence of socio-demographic characteristics, financial literacy, and risk perception on the decision to use binary options. The research is a descriptive quantitative study using voluntary sampling, with a sample of 50 individuals who have used binary options for at least one month, 17 years or older, and possess a valid KTP. Data analysis included descriptive analysis, correlation tests, and multiple linear regression using Microsoft Excel 2019 and IBM SPSS 26. The correlation test showed that financial literacy has a significant negative relationship with the decision to use binary options, while socio-demographic characteristics and risk perception did not show a significant relationship. Regression results confirmed that financial literacy has a significant negative impact on the decision to use binary options, while residence, occupation, number of dependents, and risk perception did not have a significant influence. These findings recommend improving financial literacy and enforcing stricter regulations to prevent the use of high-risk financial products. |
