Aspek kerusakan tanah sebesar 8, meliputi sifat kimia tanah. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan, didapatkan jumlah total keseluruhan nilai tingkat keparahan areal pasca kebakaran sebesar 62,9 yang menunjukan tingkat keparahan berat.
Forest and land fires are a condition of forests and land that are hit by fire, resulting in damage that causes economic losses and environmental value. Jambi is one of the areas with forest and land fires that contribute to smoke in Indonesia every year. This is caused by the burning of forests and peat and non-peat lands carried out to open plantation land. This study aims to assess the severity of forest fires in the Sultan Thaha Syaifuddin Forest Park, Sridadi Village, Batanghari Regency using the fire severity method seen from the impact on vegetation conditions, soil conditions, and estimated area of forest fires in the Sultan Thaha Syaifuddin Forest Park. Data analysis was carried out on the analysis of vegetation, soil, and estimated area of land burned. The estimated area of fire obtained using the NBR (Normalized Burn Ratio) method was 11.4 Ha in forest fires that occurred in the Sultan Thaha Syaifuddin Forest Park. The severity of the impact of the fire was obtained from the total results of the calculation of vegetation and soil conditions. The types of vegetation in the unburned location are 3 types of trees Acacia mangium, Alstonia scholaris, and Elaecorapus sphaericus Schum, while in the burned location, there are only 2 tree species, namely Acacia mangium and Alstonia scholaris. The results of the assessment of vegetation conditions are 69, covering aspects of individual tree damage, vegetation severity, and vegetation diversity. The type of soil at the location is mineral soil. The aspect of soil damage is 8, covering the chemical properties of the soil. Based on the calculation results, the total number of overall severity values for the post-fire area is 62,9 which indicates a severe level of severity.
