dc.description.abstract | Konflik antara Palestina dan Israel memiliki sejarah panjang dan kompleks yang telah berlangsung lebih dari setengah abad tanpa penyelesaian hingga saat ini. Konflik ini memuncak kembali dengan serangan oleh Hamas pada 7 Oktober 2023 yang kemudian dibalas oleh Israel dan berlanjut hingga kini, yang menyebabkan kematian dan kerusakan besar di Gaza. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak konflik Israel-Palestina terhadap harga saham perusahaan siklis dan non-siklis. Variabel dalam penelitian ini adalah harga saham perusahaan siklis (McDonald's dan Starbucks) dan perusahaan non-siklis (Unilever dan Nestlé). Penelitian dilakukan pada perusahaan yang terdaftar pada S&P Dow Jones, selama periode Februari hingga Mei 2024. Metode analisis data yang digunakan meliputi uji deskriptif, uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji Friedman, dan uji Kruskal-Wallis menggunakan software SPSS versi 23. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perubahan signifikan pada harga saham perusahaan siklis dan non-siklis selama konflik. McDonald's dan Starbucks mengalami penurunan harga saham yang signifikan, sementara Unilever dan Nestlé menunjukkan stabilitas yang lebih besar. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan bagi investor dan analis keuangan dalam mengelola portofolio selama periode ketidakpastian geopolitik. | - |
dc.description.abstract | The conflict between Palestine and Israel has a long and complex history that has persisted for over half a century without resolution. This conflict escalated again with an attack by Israel on October 7, 2023, causing significant casualties and damage in Gaza. This study aims to analyze the impact of the Israel-Palestine conflict on the stock prices of cyclical and non-cyclical companies. The variables in this study are the stock prices of cyclical companies (McDonald's and Starbucks) and non-cyclical companies (Unilever and Nestlé). The research was conducted on companies listed on the S&P Dow Jones during the period from February to May 2024. The data analysis methods used include descriptive tests, normality tests, homogeneity tests, Friedman tests, and Kruskal-Wallis tests using SPSS version 23. The results of the study indicate significant changes in the stock prices of cyclical and non-cyclical companies during the conflict. McDonald's and Starbucks experienced significant stock price declines, while Unilever and Nestlé showed greater stability. This research provides insights for investors and financial analysts in managing portfolios during periods of geopolitical uncertainty. | - |
