The increase in rice production and coal use in Indonesia has led to an increase in rice husk ash and fly ash waste, which has the potential to pollute the environment if not managed properly. To overcome this problem, this research aims to use rice husk ash and fly ash as an alternative mixture in making concrete roof tiles to reduce waste and improve product quality. The research was carried out using experimental methods in the laboratory, testing three variations of the mixture, namely: no mixture, 5% rice husk ash and 10% fly ash, and 5% rice husk ash and 7.5% fly ash. Tests include flexural strength, water absorption and water seepage according to SNI 0096:2007 standards. The results show that a mixture of 5% rice husk ash and 10% fly ash produces the highest quality concrete roof tiles, meeting SNI standards in terms of flexural strength, water absorption and water seepage parameters, while reducing the impact of environmental pollution. Thus, this research concludes that the use of rice husk ash and fly ash waste not only supports waste management, but also improves the quality of concrete roof tiles. |
