dc.description.abstractIkan Corydoras merupakan ikan catfish yang berasal dari kawasan Amerika Selatan yaitu Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Venezuela, Colombia, dan Afrika. Suhu air yang cocok untuk ikan corydoras bergantung kepada ketinggian tempat ditemukannya ikan ini. Keberhasilan pemijahan ikan dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor yaitu penanganan induk, teknologi pemijahan khususnya dalam merangsang induk, pengeraman telur maupun penanganan larva. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan substrat terbaik untuk pemijahan induk ikan corydoras. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga perlakuan dan tiga ulangan, yaitu pemberian substrat berupa paralon (A), substrat berupa keramik (B), dan substrat berupa tali rafia (C). Ikan yang digunakan yaitu ikan corydoras albino yang berumur 18 bulan dengan ukuran 7–8cm. Ikan didapatkan dari petani ikan hias di Bogor sebanyak 216 ekor. Parameter yang diamati berupa fekunditas, fertilization rate, hatching rate, dan survival rate. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada penggunaan paralon mendapatkan hasil terbaik dengan fekunditas 556 butir, fertilization rate 71%, hatching rate 83%, dan survival rate 71%.
dc.description.abstractCorydoras fish are catfish that originate from South America, namely Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Venezuela, Colombia, and Africa. The suitable water temperature for corydoras fish depends on the altitude where the fish are found. The success of fish spawning is influenced by several factors, namely handling of the parent fish, spawning technology, especially in stimulating the parent fish, incubating eggs and handling larvae. This study aims to determine the best substrate for spawning corydoras fish parents. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with three treatments and three replications, namely providing a substrate in the form of PVC pipe (A), a substrate in the form of ceramics (B), and a substrate in the form of raffia rope (C). The fish used were 18-month-old albino corydoras fish with a size of 7-8 cm. The fish were obtained from ornamental fish farmers in Bogor as many as 216 fish. The parameters observed were fecundity, fertilization rate, hatching rate, and survival rate. The results of the study showed that the use of PVC pipes produced the best results with a fecundity of 556 grains, a fertilization rate of 71%, a hatching rate of 83%, and a survival rate of 71%.
