Semakin banyak komposisi limbah karet maka kualitas paving blolck semakin menurun.
Rapid population growth and increased consumption of everyday products, such as rubber sandals, have increased the volume of solid waste in the environment. Using rubber sandal waste as a mixture in making paving blocks is one of the innovative solutions to overcome waste problems while supporting sustainable development. Based on the background of the above issues, the research objective is to determine the effect of the utilization of rubber sandal waste on the quality of paving blocks based on SNI 03-0691-1996 concerning concrete bricks (paving blocks). Determining paving block quality is based on several parameters, such as visible properties, compressive strength, water absorption, and density. The quality of the paving blocks produced does not meet the applicable SNI. The addition of rubber waste in making paving blocks greatly affects their quality. The more the rubber waste composition, the more black paving quality decreases.
