Abstract: Labu kuning (Cucurbita moschata Duch.) merupakan tanaman yang termasuk dalam buah klimakterik dengan berbagai manfaat karena memiliki kandungan gizi melimpah. Buah labu kuning termasuk buah yang memiliki umur penyimpanan panjang hingga 6 bulan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menentukan waktu panen yang tepat untuk menghasilkan buah labu kuning berkualitas baik berdasarkan satuan panas dan umur simpan yang optimum. Percobaan dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan Leuwikopo, IPB, Bogor dan Laboratorium Pascapanen, Departemen Agronomi dan Hortikultura, Fakultas Pertanian, IPB. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari sampai Juni 2024. Percobaan menggunakan rancangan kelompok lengkap teracak (RKLT) dengan empat ulangan dan satu faktor, yaitu umur panen (23, 28, 33, dan 38 Hari Setelah Antesis (HSA)). Buah labu kuning varietas Suprema F1 dapat dipanen pada akumulasi satuan panas 488? hari hingga 780? hari dengan umur panen 23 HSA (80 HST) hingga 38 HSA (95 HST). Kualitas fisik dan kimia buah yang dipanen 23 HSA (80 HST), 28 HSA (85 HST), 33 HSA (90 HST), dan 38 HSA (95 HST) tidak menunjukkan perbedaan yang nyata. Umur panen terbaik labu kuning varietas Suprema F1 memiliki akumulasi satuan panas sebesar 780? hari pada umur panen 38 HSA (95 HST).
Pumpkin (Cucurbita moschata Duch.)is a climacteric fruit with various benefits due to its abundant nutritional content. Pumpkin fruit has a long storage life of up to 6 months. The purpose of this study is to determine the right harvest time to produce good quality pumpkin fruit based on heat units and optimum shelf life. The experiment was conducted at Leuwikopo Experimental Station, IPB, Bogor and Postharvest Laboratory, Department of Agronomy and Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture, IPB. The research was conducted from February to June 2024. The experiment used a completely randomised group design (RKLT) with four replications and one factor, namely harvest age (23, 28, 33, and 38 Days After Anthesis (HSA)). Pumpkin fruit of Suprema F1 variety can be harvested at accumulated heat units of 488? days to 780? days with harvesting ages of 23 HSA (80 HST) to 38 HSA (95 HST). The physical and chemical quality of fruits harvested at 23 HSA (80 HST), 28 HSA (85 HST), 33 HSA (90 HST), and 38 HSA (95 HST) showed no significant difference. The best harvest age of pumpkin variety Suprema F1 has an accumulated heat unit of 780 ? days at harvest age 38 HSA (95 HST).
