The increase in waste volume at the Bantargebang Integrated Waste Disposal Site (TPST) and the limited land for waste storage have caused problems in handling waste that is less efficient. The person in charge of waste management and processing at TPST Bantargebang is UPST DLH and Power House as a partner. This study aims to 1) analyze the mechanism of waste management and processing at TPST Bantargebang; 2) estimate the direct benefits of TPST Bantargebang waste processing results and; 3) formulate a strategy for improving waste processing at TPST Bantargebang. The methods used in this research are descriptive analysis, direct benefit analysis and SWOT analysis. The results of the analysis show that (1) Waste processing by the Jakarta City DLH UPST produces compost, humus, Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) and electricity from burning waste. Meanwhile, the Power House produces electricity from methane gas. (2)The estimated total direct benefits received by UPST DLH and partners in 2024 amounted to IDR 506,023,240,979 from waste processing from 2018 to 2023. (3) The strategy suggested for improving waste management is Strength and Opportunities (SO) which aims to take advantage of internal strengths in the form of partnerships with Power House in methane gas waste treatment and at the same time take advantage of opportunities to optimize waste management and processing through the implementation of Regional Regulations as guidelines. |
