| Abstract: | Harimau sumatra merupakan salah satu spesies predator puncak terbesar
yang statusnya saat ini terancam punah berdasarkan kategori IUCN. Konflik
antara manusia dan satwa liar adalah segala bentuk interaksi antara manusia dan
satwa liar yang melibatkan banyak aspek seperti aspek ekologi, ekonomi, dan
sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan mencari alternatif solusi terjadinya konflik harimau
dengan masyarakat, dan mengidentifikasi tingkat toleransi masyarakat terhadap
harimau sumatra. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi literatur, observasi
lapang, dan wawancara. menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis skala likert.
Hasil penelitian menunjukan tingkat toleransi masyarakat di Desa Suo-suo,
Kecamatan Sumay, Kabupaten Tebo, Provinsi Jambi memiliki sikap sangat
toleransi sebesar 64,29% terhadap keberadaan harimau sumatra. Strategi
alternatif dan rencana aksi konservasi harimau sumatra secara berkelanjutan
dengan mengelola habitat dan penggunaan lahan, penjagaan ternak, sosialisasi dan
pelatihan, pengawasan dan patroli, dan pelaporan cepat diharapkan dapat
membantu pelestarian harimau sumatra di habitat mereka. The Sumatran tiger is one of the largest apex predator species whose status is currently endangered under the IUCN category. Conflict between humans and wildlife is any form of interaction between humans and wildlife that involves many aspects such as ecological, economic, and social aspects. This research aims to find alternative solutions to the occurrence of tiger conflicts with the community and identify the level of community tolerance towards Sumatran tigers. This study uses literature study the methods , field observations, and interviews. using descriptive analysis and Likert scale analysis. The results of the study show that the level of tolerance of the community in Suo-suo has a very tolerant attitude of 64.29% towards the existence of Sumatran tigers. Alternative strategies and action plans for conservation Sumatran tiger sustainability are managing habitat and land use, livestock guarding, socialization and training, to surveillance and patrolling, and rapid reporting. |
