Mining activities are one of the activities that have the potential to cause impacts on the environment. In general, coal mining is carried out in open pits, so it will have an impact on changes in the landscape, physical, chemical, and biological properties of the soil, and generally cause damage to the earth's surface. This impact will automatically disrupt the ecosystem above it. This study aims to analyze the abundance of macrofauna, site characteristics, and the relationship between site characteristics and the abundance of soil macrofauna on four lands with different conditions in the post-coal mining land of PT. Pesona Khatulistiwa Nusantara. This study was conducted on four types of land, namely open land, young revegetation land, old revegetation, and natural forest. In the Least Significant Difference (LSD) test, the four research locations all had significantly different values. Natural forests have the highest abundance of macrofauna, which is 58 individuals/m2 with 7 orders and 9 families. Meanwhile, open land (LT) has the lowest macrofauna abundance value because the presence of macrofauna itself was not found. The abundance of soil macrofauna itself is also influenced by edaphic, climatic, and vegetation density factors.
