SHINTI FRANS’ SISCA. Penguatan Kelompok Tani Maggot Balangan Melalui
Pendampingan Usaha Maggot Black Soldier Fly.
terus menerus agar mencapai keberlanjutan usaha. Kelompok tani terkendala dalam
perolehan sampah organik dikarenakan masih terbatasnya mitra pemasok sampah,
kapasitas SDM kelompok tani melalui kegiatan pelatihan 2) mendorong kelompok

Strengthening the Maggot Balangan Farmer Group through Assistance with the Maggot Black Soldier Fly Business. Supervised by TRI BUDIARTO and MUHAMMAD IQBAL NURULHAQ The BSF maggot is a species of fly that can live well in tropical climates and is better at degrading waste than other insects. Organic waste has an important role as a source of energy for the growth and reproduction of maggots. Maggot cultivation must be carried out continuously in order to achieve business sustainability. The farmer group is hampered in obtaining organic waste due to the limited waste supply partners, this has an impact on low maggot production and the farmer group has not been able to take advantage of the potential high demand for maggot products, because there is still limited innovation in maggot derivative products. The aim of the research is to strive to strengthen farmer groups through 1) increasing the human resource capacity of farmer groups through training activities 2) encouraging farmer groups to increase market access 3) creating derivative products for the sustainability of the maggot business 4) creating cooperation in the form of partnership networks. The research method uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and FGD. The research results show that there is an increase in business in terms of waste acquisition, production, network of waste supplier partners and customer partners as well as income. Keywords: Maggot Black Soldier Fly (BSF), assistance, organic waste |
