Abstract: Perlindungan hukum kukang jawa (Nycticebus javanicus) baik secara nasional maupun internasional nyatanya belum membuat peningkatan populasinya membaik.
The legal protection of the Javan slow loris (Nycticebus javanicus) both nationally and internationally has not resulted in an increase in its population. Therefore, through animal behaviour observation, it can be one of the efforts to conserve Javan slow lorises. This study aims to identify the effect of sex on inactive behaviour with the variable temperature of Javan slow loris. Data were collected using free-ranging method, accelerometer, and literature study. The results obtained showed an influence between the sex of Javan slow loris on its inactive behaviour. Male Javan slow lorises tend to perform inactive behaviour more often. In addition, the temperature of the Javan slow loris is also influenced by gender. Female Javan slow lorises, which rarely engage in inactive behaviour, experience greater temperature fluctuations than males. This is related to the high activity of female Javan slow lorises in movement.
