dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi kecernaan nutrient sapi pedaging yang diberi herbal (jahe dan kunyit) dan mineral dengan metode pemberian yang berbeda. Penelitian ini menggunakan 12 ekor sapi jantan yang terdiri dari 9 ekor sapi Bali jantan dan 3 ekor sapi Madura jantan yang berbobot rata-rata 193,25 ± 32,81 kg. ditempatkan di kandang tipe ganda. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK). Rancangan percobaan terdiri atas 3 perlakuan dan 4 kelompok. Perlakuannya adalah P1 = kunyit 2% dan jahe 1% dalam konsentrat mash, P2 = kunyit 2% dan jahe 1% dalam konsentrat pellet, P3 = kunyit 2% dan jahe 1% dalam bentuk HMB (Herbal Mineral Block). Peubah yang diukur meliputi kecernaan nutrien bahan kering, protein kasar, lemak kasar, serat kasar, dan bahan ekstrak tanpa nitrogen. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA dan apabila berbeda nyata diuji lanjut menggunakan uji Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode suplementasi herbal dan mineral tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap kecernaan bahan kering, protein kasar, lemak kasar, dan serat kasar, dan Bahan Ekstrak Tanpa Nitrogen (BETN).
dc.description.abstractThis study aimed to evaluate the nutrient digestibility in beef cattle given herbs (ginger and turmeric) and minerals with different forms of feed. This study used 12 bulls consisting of 9 Brahman bulls and 3 Madura bulls with an average weight of 193.25 ± 32.81 kg. This research used a randomized block design. The experimental design consisted of three treatments and four replications. The treatments were P1 = 2% turmeric and 1% ginger mash concentrate, P2 = 2% turmeric and 1% ginger in pellet concentrate, P3 = 2% turmeric and 1% ginger in the form of HMB (Herbal Mineral Block). The variables measured included dry matter digestibility, crude protein, crude fat, crude fiber, and NFE (nitrogen free extract). The data obtained were analyzed using ANOVA and if they were significant differently, they were further tested using Duncan test. The results showed that giving herbal and mineral mixtures with different forms of feed had a significant effect (P > 0,05) on the digestibility of dry matter, crude protein, crude fat, crude fiber, and NFE.
