Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi waktu pemberian pakan terhadap respon fisiologis domba garut jantan dan betina yang diberi pakan hijauan dan konsentrat dengan waktu yang berbeda dengan sistem pemeliharaan intensif. Penelitian ini menggunakan 12 ekor domba garut dengan rataan bobot 23,68±6,70 kg. Data pengukuran respon fisiologis yang diamati kemudian dianalisis dengan rancangan acak lengkap faktorial 5%. Perlakuan penelitian yaitu P1 (70% konsentrat (pagi) + 30% hijauan (sore)), dan P2 (70% konsentrat (sore) + 30% hijauan (pagi)). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis kelamin dan manajemen waktu pemberian pakan yang berbeda tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap frekuensi denyut jantung, laju respirasi dan suhu rektal. Rataan hasil penelitian menunjukkan frekuensi denyut jantung sebesar 103,09–106,84 kali menit-1, laju respirasi 49,50–55,10 kali menit-1, dan suhu rektal 38,8738,95?. Perilaku panting pada domba yang diamati memperoleh score 0 menandakan bahwa domba dalam kategori tanpa stress. Pemberian pakan konsentrat dan hijauan dengan manajemen waktu pemberian pakan yang berbeda tidak mengganggu respon fisiologis.
This study research to evaluate the effect of feeding time on the physiological responses of garut rams and ewes fed with forage and concentrate at different times under intensive rearing. The study involved 12 garut sheep with an average weight of 23,68±6,70 kg. Physiological response data were measured and analyzed using a 5% factorial completely randomized design. The treatments were P1 (70% concentrate in the morning + 30% forage in the afternoon) and P2 (70% concentrate in the afternoon + 30% forage in the morning). The results showed that sex and different feeding time management did not significantly affect heart rate, respiratory rate, and rectal temperature. The average results showed a heart rate of 103,09–106,84 beats per minute, a respiratory rate of 49,50–55,10 breaths per minute, and a rectal temperature of 38,87–38,95°C. The observed panting behavior scored 0, indicating that the sheep were in the non-stressed category. Different feeding time management of concentrates and forages did not disturb the physiological responses.
