| Abstract: | Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi kualitas fisik dan performa pertumbuhan sembung nyawa dari bagian batang dan jenis kemasan serta waktu pengiriman yang berbeda. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan Split Plot Design (SPD) dengan 2 (dua) faktor petak utama yaitu stek berwarna coklat dan hijau, dan 4 (empat) jenis kemasan yang berbeda sebagai subplot yaitu P0 = kontrol (tanpa kemasan dan tanpa pengiriman), P1 = stek dengan kemasan kertas koran, P2 = stek dengan kertas koran basah, dan P3 = stek dengan kemasan plastik wrap. Peubah yang diamati meliputi bobot stek dan perubahan pada warna, aroma, dan lendir, persentase bertunas, dan daya tumbuh, serta tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, dan jumlah cabang. Data dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA data yang berbeda nyata selanjutnya diuji dengan uji Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bagian batang yang berbeda memberikan pengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap bobot stek. Stek batang dengan warna coklat menghasilkan rata-rata bobot stek yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan batang hijau. Kemasan kertas koran (P1) memberikan perubahan warna stek paling beragam dibandingkan dengan kemasan lain. Stek dengan warna batang hijau kemasan koran basah memberikan hasil terbaik dengan persentase bertunas dan daya tumbuh yaitu (100%)
Kata kunci: jenis kemasan, kualitas fisik, pertumbuhan This study aims to evaluate the physical quality and growth performance of sambung nyawa from different stem parts and packaging types as well as delivery times. This study used a Split Plot Design (SPD) with 2 (two) main plot factors namely brown and green cuttings, and 4 (four) different types of packaging as subplots namely P0=Control (no packaging and not sent), P1=cuttings with newspaper packaging, P2=cuttings with wet newspaper packaging, and P3=cuttings with plastic wrap packaging. The observed variables included the weight of the cuttings and changes in color, scent, and mucus, germination and growth rate, as well as plant height, number of leaves, branches. Data were analyzed using ANOVA if there was a significant difference and then tested with Duncan's test. The results showed that different stem colors gave a significant effect (P<0.05) on the weight of cuttings. Stem cuttings with brown color produce higher average weight of cuttings than green stems. Newsprint packaging (P1) gave the most diverse color changes compared to other packaging. Cuttings with green stem color in wet newspaper packaging gave the best results with the percentage of germination and growth rate (100%). Keywords: growth, package type, physical quality |
