| Abstract: | Ikan koi (Cyprinus carpio haematopterus) adalah ikan hias air tawar yang
digemari masyarakat saat ini. Adapun kendala yang dapat ditemukan dalam
budidaya dan pemeliharaan ikan, salah satunya adalah parasit Ichthyophthirius
multifiliis. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji efektivitas daya hambat pemberian
infusa daun pandan pada stadium theron dari Ichthyophthirius multifiliis. Metode
yang digunakan adalah uji in vitro dengan mengamati mortalitas stadium theron
yang diberi infusa daun pandan. Pengamatan persentase mortalitas stadium theron
yang diberi infusa dilakukan pada menit ke-15 hingga menit ke-210 setelah
perlakuan. Hasil dari pengujian ini didapatkan mortality rate stadium theron sebesar
lebih dari 90% pada konsentrasi 10 mg/mL, yang mengindikasikan infusa daun
pandan dapat menjadi obat alternatif alami untuk mencegah perkembangan stadium
theron Ichthyophthirius multifiliis.
Kata kunci: daun pandan, endoparasit, ikan koi, in vitro, theron Koi fish (Cyprinus carpio haematopterus) are popular freshwater ornamental fish among the public today. However, one of the challenges hindering the sustainability of fish cultivation and maintenance is the parasite Ichthyophthirius multifiliis. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of pandan leaf infusion in inhibiting the development of the theron stage of Ichthyophthirius multifiliis. An in vitro test was conducted to observe the mortality of the theron stage given pandan leaf infusion. Observations of the inhibition percentage of the theron stage treated with the infusion were conducted at the 15 to 210 minutes post treatment. The results showed a mortality rate of over 90% at 10 mg/mL, indicating that pandan leaf infusion could serve as a natural alternative treatment against Ichthyophthirius multifiliis. |
