Pine resin is a product of commercially valuable and potential pine trees. Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are required in pine resin tapping as guidelines. To assess compliance with the SOPs, interviews were conducted with 35 tappers who had worked for 10 years or less and 35 tappers with more than 10 years of experience, and the results were analyzed descriptively. The research results indicate that tappers with = 10 years of experience are more knowledgeable, consider SOPs important, and understand SOP application compared to those with > 10 years of experience. Compliance with the SOPs among tappers is relatively high, with an average compliance rate of 63% out of 31 performance metrics. However, tapper compliance with the SOPs needs to be optimized to ensure sustainable pine resin production and prevent damage to trees from excessive tapping. Therefore, there is a need for intensive monitoring and evaluation of the pine resin tapping process and to reinstitute training on SOP compliance, including adjustments to the tools used for tapping
